Renowned Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari has disclosed the story behind the well-known character title, ‘Beyonce’ within the 2006 blockbuster film.
Nadia performed a lead position within the film ‘Beyonce: The President’s Daughter’ which was launched in 2006. According to her, the film is one which introduced her to the limelight and catapulted her profession.
Interestingly, her character title was not meant to be ‘Beyonce’ within the film.
Nadia Buari revealed on The Afternoon Show on October 23 that she personally selected the title, ‘Beyonce’ with perception that the title was going to serve the fitting objective of her position.
“I think it would be Beyonce because Beyonce was every where and you know what’s crazy so the character wasn’t originally called Beyonce.
“When I got the script, immediately I could relate and called the producer and said to him that I really believe this movie would catapult my career so if I want to be known by any name, I would like to be known by Beyonce.
“So, I chose that name and when I said to him, he said sure, of course as long as you can give me what I want,” she acknowledged.
The revered actress believes the saturation of social media now has triggered producers and administrators to double efforts in the direction of the promotion of flicks.
“Due to the differences of viewing shops by way of social media shops now I believe the starvation that folks had for motion pictures is wind. I believe it’s not as earlier than as a result of now everyone’s go-to leisure is on their telephone or TikTok whereas social media is nice, I really feel like when its actually saturated, it derails individuals’s consideration.

After a hiatus from performing, Nadia Buari is again to the screens with ‘Forever in a Night’, produced by John N. Okwugo and directed by Jameel Buari.
The film will premiere on November 9, 2024, on the Accra Mall and West Hills Mall in Accra.
