Flagbearer of the NPP Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has discounted claims and accusations by the NDC that underneath his presidency, Fulanis will probably be allowed to destroy peoples’ farms.
Addressing celebration supporters at a ‘Bawumia Connect’ occasion on November 13, Dr Bawumia insisted that his presidency will probably be a authorities for all with none discrimination.
The NPP flagbearer obtained a rousing welcome when he mounted the stage to deal with the celebration supporters at Sekyere Odumasi.
“Fulani people are you here? I am hearing that there is some propaganda to the effect that when I become president, you will be allowed to destroy peoples’ farms, those are lies,” he assured.
“Everybody will be treated by the law, don’t listen to that propaganda, that we are going to give Fulanis power to destroy your farm crops, all these are lies so don’t listen to that propaganda. It will not happen so ignore those propaganda, it will not happen, we should all be united and vote for number one,” Dr Bawumia urged.
“All of you have seen what Gifty Ndoma the parliamentary candidate has done for you. She has not been a member of parliament before, but she has done so much for you. If you bring her, I will also give her a job to do in addition to what she will be doing, vote for her, number one, ” the NPP flagbearer appealed.
This propaganda might have gained grounds as a consequence of the truth that Dr Bawumia’s spouse, Samira Bawumia, is a Fulani, therefore the necessity for him to deal with the problem.
