Former President John Mahama has reminded the clergy concerning the want to proceed preaching peace earlier than, throughout and after the December 7 elections.
According to him, it’s only peaceable elections that may afford the nation a chance to “reset, restart or renew.”
Mr Mahama stated “I wish to call on the clergy not to relent in the quest to ensure peaceful elections on December 7 by preaching peace.”
Mr Mahama made the decision on the eightieth anniversary thanksgiving service of the St Joseph the Worker Anglican Church, Kaneshie-Accra on October 27.
The theme for the anniversary is “Renew, Rejoice and Reconnect.”
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer urged the youth not to surrender on the nation.
“Many of our youth today have lost hope in the country. That is because of the current state of the economy which we all know about. That is the more reason why we need to reset. When your phone freezes, what do you do? You restart,” he famous.
The eightieth anniversary was used to honour people who’ve contributed in various methods to the expansion of the church. The major celebrant was Bishop Sylvanus Mensah Torto.
