The Rotary Club of district 9127, has sensitised ladies and younger women on menstrual hygiene.
The district head on maternal and youngster well being, Lovina Okorn Nfui, made this disclosure on the weekend whereas talking to journalists throughout sooner or later sensitisation in Abuja.
She added that the programme will allow the girl-child know the hazards of neglecting her private hygiene and with the theme: “Girls Vision for the Future”
“We want the community to benefit from this initiative and that was why we brought in girls from John Knox college Nasarrawa state, the Christian Girls in Training, (CGIT) and this is first project we are bringing to Nyanya,” she mentioned.
Nfui famous that there shall be distribution of sanitary pads, cleaning soap, face towel, shaving stick, tissue and menstrual cup.
Earlier, menstrual advocate, Blessing Ajabowe, emphasised that the introduction of menstrual cup to the society is the sustainable strategy to finish interval poverty.
